Hello everyone!
Missed out on last week’s SSS because I was traveling all around the place. From Kerala to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Bombay is being lashed with rains, but Punjab was sunny and HP, pleasant, so managed to shoot loads and loads of photos.
This is my colleague who took me around in Punjab. Ms. A was born in Assam (North-east of India), studied in Pune (western India) and got married, and settled in Punjab (in the north of India.) Amazingly, we discovered that we were both studying at the University of Pune (in different departments) at the same time. And here we were, some 10 years later, working for the same box, each with a boy born some months apart, and a number of other similar tastes and likings! Talk about living in a small planet!!!
Here she is, walking from shadows into the light, in a paddy field in Ropar, Punjab.

I like that you’ve captured the figure in red crossing the field about to enter the shadow.
Because of the color of her garment, my eye is drawn to her immediately amid all the green.

Such a beautiful, peaceful ShadowShot. Lately ther have been several documentaries on India on our public tv station. Just had one about the music in the mountains of India. Some Maharaj said that India needs her music and color…most importantly. Happy SSS to you.
