Sunday Again! (in Australia :))
I’ve cobbled up a few photos on the theme of seating. All of them are from my vacation in Himachal Pradesh, last week.
Travel Companions: My friend J is seated on a rock besides a mountain stream, while our driver Ram Singh, who drove us safely across all those curvy mountain roads, stands in the background.
We stayed at the Palace Hotel in Chail. The story goes that the British expelled the Maharaja of Patiala from his summer capital, Shimla, for making some groovy ‘moves’ against an Englishwoman. Off to Chail he went, situated higher than Shimla and built an even grander palace. This is now converted into Heritage Hotel, accommodating even plebeians like me 🙂
J finds a spot under the sun in the 75-acre Palace grounds.
J sits on a tree stump, after a morning walk among cedar forests in Chail.
SSS was not too far from my mind. Shadows were just about everywhere. I took the following two photos a the Palace grounds, specifically for SSS.
For more shadow shots from around the world hop over to Harriet’s blog. Do join in with your shadow shots too. its fun.
Have a happy week everyone!
